Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and then line the baking tray with parchment or lightly grease the baking sheet.
  2. On a surface that is lightly sprayed with flour, you can roll this pizza dough in a big square (about 10 by 14 inches).
  3. Distribute the pizza sauce across the pizza dough. Leave approximately an inch around edges. Spread the cheeses of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese equally on top of the pizza sauce. Include the pepperoni-cooked sausage (if you are using it), black olives, green bell peppers, and any other toppings you wish to add.
  4. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and garlic powder on the toppings. The dough should be rolled up using one of the long sides and then tucked into the ends as you move to form a log.
  5. Lay the stromboli seam-side down on the baking sheet.  The top of the stromboli should be brushed with the egg that has been beaten and drizzled with olive oil to create the golden crust.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the stromboli turns golden brown and cheese is bubbling in the middle.  Allow it to cool for a couple of minutes before cutting.
  7. Cut the stromboli into large pieces and serve with additional pizza sauce to dip.
