Description

Long John Silver’s Crisp Drum — perfect for breakfast and meal prep. Makes 4 servings in 25 minutes with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Juicy cod fillets
  • Light batter
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • Signature tartar sauce
  • Coleslaw
  • Hush puppies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cod fillets by seasoning with Old Bay.
  2. Coat the fillets in light batter.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer.
  4. Fry the coated cod until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain excess oil and serve hot with tartar sauce, coleslaw, and hush puppies.

Notes

  • Freeze individual fillets in a single layer for P1M. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
  • Reheat in the oven at 375°F for PT10M to restore crispiness.
  • Microwave fillets on a microwave-safe plate for PT2M, but expect softer results.
  • Use an air fryer at 350°F for PT5M to achieve a freshly fried texture.
