Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- ¾ cup brown sugar (packed)
- ½ cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 12–15 Twix (frozen 30 minutes, chopped)
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional but recommended)
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (for dough or drizzle)
- flaky sea salt (for topping)
- ¼ cup toffee bits (optional)
- extra Twix pieces (for pressing on top)
- chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Freeze Twix bars for 30 minutes, then chop into ½-inch chunks. Reserve one-third for topping.
- Cream butter and both sugars for 3 minutes until light and fluffy. Mix in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then mix dry ingredients into wet just until combined.
- Gently fold chopped Twix (and add-ins like chocolate chips or toffee bits) into the dough without overmixing.
- Scoop 2-tablespoon dough balls onto parchment-lined sheets. Press extra Twix pieces on top and sprinkle flaky sea salt.
- Bake at 350°F for 11–13 minutes until edges are golden and centers look slightly underdone. Cool on the tray for 5 minutes.
