- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger in a bowl to create the teriyaki sauce.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chicken thighs and sear until golden brown, about 6 minutes each side.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken, bringing it to a simmer.
- Combine cornstarch with water and add to the sauce to thicken.
- Cook until the chicken is fully cooked through, about 10 more minutes.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
