Description
Learn how to make incredibly moist and flavorful hamburgers perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ lb ground beef 80/20 (6 oz burgers)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Cheddar cheese slices (optional)
Instructions
- Place the ground beef in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Gently mix the spices into the ground beef, being careful not to overmix.
- Form the meat into a large patty and place it on a cutting board.
- Cut the patty into 4 equal triangles, then shape each triangle into a 6 oz hamburger patty.
- Press your thumb or the back of a spoon into the center of each patty to create an indent.
- Place the patties in the fridge until ready to cook.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high.
- Place the burgers on the hot grill, indent side up, and close the lid. Cook for about 5 minutes.
- Flip the burgers and cook for another 5 minutes or until the beef reaches 160 degrees. If adding cheese, place the slices on the burgers during the last minute of cooking to let it melt.
- Serve hamburgers on your favorite bun along with your preferred toppings.
- Alternatively, heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 3 minutes per side.
Notes
Use high-quality ground beef with a good fat-to-meat ratio, like 80/20, for the best juiciness. Avoid pressing down on the patties while they cook.
