Description
A delightful fusion of Italian and sushi flavors featuring prosciutto, mozzarella, and fresh herbs wrapped in sushi rice.
Ingredients

- 250 g (2 cups) Sushi Rice
- 60 ml (¼ cup) Rice Vinegar
- 100 g (3.5 oz) Prosciutto
- 150 g (5 oz) Fresh Mozzarella
- 10 Fresh Basil Leaves
- 1 large Avocado
- 1 large Bell Pepper
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions
- Rinse sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to rice cooker instructions (about 20 minutes) and cool for 10 minutes.
- Mix rice vinegar and olive oil in a small bowl. Fold this into the warm rice (about 5 minutes).
- Chop prosciutto, mozzarella, avocado, and bell pepper into thin strips.
- Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat, spread a thin layer of sushi rice across. Layer prosciutto, mozzarella, avocado, basil, and bell pepper in the center.
- Roll the sushi tightly, moistening the edge of the nori to seal.
- Slice the roll into 6-8 pieces with a sharp knife.
Notes
For creamier texture, substitute fresh mozzarella with burrata. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
