- Optional: 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to ensure it’s even and smooth.
- Spread an even layer of Dijon mustard over the puff pastry.
- Arrange the ham slices evenly over the mustard, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese evenly on top of the ham.
- Carefully roll the puff pastry tightly into a log, starting from one long edge.
- Use a sharp knife to slice the log into 1-inch-thick pinwheels. You should get about 10-12 slices.
- Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the pinwheels are puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and transfer the pinwheels to a serving plate. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley and chives for a fresh and vibrant garnish. Serve warm and enjoy!
