  • 100 g (1 cup) Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • Black Pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh Parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package directions, usually about 8–10 minutes, until al dente. Reserve 120 ml (½ cup) of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: In a skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Once the butter melts, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1–2 minutes, until fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Combine Pasta with Sauce: Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine. Gradually add the reserved pasta water until the pasta is well-coated and creamy.
  4. Add Cheese and Season: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta while tossing until melted into a creamy sauce. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.
  5. Serve: Plate the spaghetti and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, consider mixing Parmesan with Pecorino Romano cheese. Avoid overheating the garlic as it can taste bitter if burned.
