Description

Ingredients

  • 23 lbs of crab (blue crabs or other varieties)
  • 1 lb of small potatoes (such as new potatoes or fingerlings)
  • 1 lb of sweet corn (cut into halves or thirds)
  • 12 links of Andouille sausage (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)
  • 46 cups of water
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Melted butter (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and add salt and Old Bay seasoning.
  2. Bring the water to a boil.
  3. Add the potatoes and cook for about 10-15 minutes until they are tender.
  4. If using sausage, add it now and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Add the corn and crab to the pot.
  6. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the crab is heated through.
  7. Drain the mixture and serve immediately with lemon wedges and melted butter.

Notes

For an even more flavorful boil, consider adding other seasonings like garlic or a splash of beer. Use fresh seafood for the best taste.
