- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- Ingredients specified on the cake box (usually eggs, water, and oil)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
- 1 cup whipped topping or whipped cream
- Optional: chopped peanuts for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the box directions for your cake mix. Prepare your cake batter as instructed and pour it into a greased 9×13 inch cake pan. Bake according to package instructions (about 30-35 minutes).
- Once the cake is out of the oven and cooled for about 10 minutes, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the top of the cake.
- In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the peanut butter mixture evenly over the top of your poked cake, spreading it into the holes.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup generously over the cake.
- Spread whipped topping over the cake and sprinkle chopped peanuts on top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
