Description

Chocolate Peanut Butter Poke Cake is the perfect recipe for busy days. Quick, easy, and delicious, this treat will satisfy your cravings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients specified on the cake box (usually eggs, water, and oil)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup whipped topping or whipped cream
  • Optional: chopped peanuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the box directions for your cake mix. Prepare your cake batter as instructed and pour it into a greased 9×13 inch cake pan. Bake according to package instructions (about 30-35 minutes).
  2. Once the cake is out of the oven and cooled for about 10 minutes, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the top of the cake.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the peanut butter mixture evenly over the top of your poked cake, spreading it into the holes.
  5. Drizzle chocolate syrup generously over the cake.
  6. Spread whipped topping over the cake and sprinkle chopped peanuts on top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Feel free to swap out smooth peanut butter for crunchy. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
