- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups frozen crispy crowns
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: pickles, mustard, or ketchup for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and chopped onion until fully cooked.
- Drain the excess fat and add in garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
- In a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish, layer the cooked beef mixture evenly. Pour the cream of mushroom soup combined with milk over the beef.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the casserole base.
- Arrange the crispy crowns on top of the cheese to cover the entire surface.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cheesy crown is golden and crispy.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve with your favorite toppings.
Notes
You can substitute ground beef for lean ground turkey or chicken. Experiment with different soups for unique flavors.
