- 450 g (1 lb) ground beef, 80/20
- 225 g (1/2 lb) ground pork
- 60 g (1/2 cup) plain breadcrumbs
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) whole milk
- 1 large egg (about 50 g)
- 25 g (1/4 cup) finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion, finely minced (about 70 g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (about 6 g)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (about 8 g)
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil for the air fryer basket
Instructions
- Soak the breadcrumbs by combining with whole milk and letting sit for 2–3 minutes.
- Grate or finely mince the onion and garlic.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, soaked breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, parsley, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until just combined.
- Portion the mixture into 12 uniform meatballs.
- Preheat air fryer to 190°C (375°F) and prepare the basket.
- Cook meatballs in the air fryer for 10–12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let rest for 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, replace beef and pork with ground turkey. Ensure to adjust cooking times accordingly. Can be frozen for meal prep.
