Description

A spooky and delicious cheesecake shaped like a witch’s cauldron, perfect for Halloween parties. This recipe features a rich chocolate flavor and a unique presentation.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Black food coloring
  • Edible glitter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round springform pan.
  2. In a small bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate small bowl, whisk together cocoa powder and heavy cream until smooth. Add black food coloring until desired dark color is achieved.
  6. Gently fold the chocolate mixture into the cream cheese mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  7. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
  9. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
  11. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  12. Before serving, decorate your witch’s cauldron cheesecake with edible glitter if desired for a magical touch.
