Description
Refreshing Winter Lemonade with Mint and Mandarin Delight
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 3/4 cup Sugar (adjust for sweetness)
- 4 cups Water (room temperature)
- 1 cup Freshly Squeezed Mandarin Orange Juice (substitute with clementine juice if preferred)
- 1/2 cup Mint Leaves (gently crushed)
- 1 cup Water, to dilute (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, mix the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, and water. Heat the mixture just until it reaches a boil, allowing the sugar to dissolve completely.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool. Once cooled, pour it into an airtight container and place it in the refrigerator to chill completely.
- While the base cools, use a mortar and pestle to gently crush the mint leaves. This step helps release their aromatic oils, enhancing the flavor of your winter lemonade.
- In a large pitcher, mix the chilled lemonade base with the crushed mint and the freshly squeezed mandarin juice. Add water to dilute to your desired taste.
- Pour the refreshing mixture over ice and enjoy!
