Description

Irresistible White BBQ Chicken Subs with tender chicken and a creamy white BBQ sauce, served in crusty French bread.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 Tbsp fresh cracked white pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp Creole mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 large garlic cloves, pressed
  • 2 tsp horseradish
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 14 oz chicken tenders
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil for cooking
  • 2 large shallots, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 French bread subs
  • About 1/2 cup white BBQ sauce (more for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients for the white BBQ sauce in a bowl and refrigerate until needed.
  2. In a sauté pan, heat vegetable oil and cook seasoned chicken and shallots for about 6-8 minutes until fully cooked.
  3. Let the chicken cool, chop it, and combine it with cooked shallots, shredded cheese, and white BBQ sauce.
  4. Slice each French bread sub halfway and prepare for stuffing.
  5. Stuff the bread with the chicken mixture and broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  6. Drizzle additional white BBQ sauce on top and serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to customize with additional toppings like pickles or jalapeños.
