- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 slices prosciutto, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)
- Black pepper, to taste
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly flour your work surface and roll out thawed puff pastry sheet. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Brush a thin layer of Dijon mustard across the surface of the puff pastry.
- Sprinkle the grated mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the pastry, followed by the chopped prosciutto. Add black pepper and thyme leaves if using.
- Fold the pastry in half to cover the filling, then press gently to seal. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut into 1.5-inch squares or rectangles.
- Place the pieces on your prepared baking sheet. Brush each piece with beaten egg and bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden and puffed.
- Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving. These bites can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
