Description

An easy and delicious homemade pizza recipe that’s perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add in flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a bowl coated with oil, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Once risen, punch the dough down and roll it out into your desired shape on a floured surface.
  7. Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce over the crust. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and add your favorite toppings.
  8. Transfer the pizza to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.
  9. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
