Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 2 tbsp Butter, melted (for coating)
- 1/2 cup Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture (for coating)
- 1/2 cup Chocolate (optional, for ganache drizzle)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and 1/4 cup of melted butter until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a pourable batter forms. Do not overmix.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into a donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the donut bites cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- While the donuts cool, melt the additional 2 tbsp of butter. If using, melt the chocolate for the ganache. Prepare your cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Brush each warm donut bite with the melted butter, then roll immediately in the cinnamon-sugar blend.
- Serve the Sweet Churro Donut Bites warm, with an optional chocolate ganache drizzle.
