Description

Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto Grilled Cheese is a delicious and easy sandwich that combines rich flavors.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (your choice)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomato pesto
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side of two slices, spread a generous amount of sun-dried tomato pesto.
  3. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the pesto.
  4. Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
  5. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes, ensuring the cheese melts completely.
  8. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on the top side of the sandwich during the last minute of cooking for added flavor.
  9. Once both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted, remove the sandwiches from the skillet.
  10. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired.
