Description
Strawberry Shortcake Kabobs: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 pound vanilla cake (store-bought or homemade), cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
- Skewers (wooden or reusable)
- Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Optional: chocolate sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, then cut them in half. Cut the vanilla cake into bite-sized cubes.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 10 minutes to prevent burning. If using reusable skewers, ensure they are clean and ready to use.
- Start by threading a half strawberry onto a skewer, followed by a cube of cake, and then a dollop of whipped cream. Repeat this process until the skewer is filled, leaving some space at the bottom for handling.
- Continue assembling the remaining kabobs until all ingredients are used. Aim for 4-5 pieces per skewer for the perfect balance.
- If desired, place the assembled kabobs in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and to keep them cool.
- Arrange the kabobs on a platter, and if desired, drizzle with chocolate sauce or garnish with fresh mint leaves.
Notes
- Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
- Feel free to customize with other fruits or flavors.
