Deliciously fluffy strawberry donuts that are easy to make at home, bursting with fresh strawberry flavor and perfectly glazed.

- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 3/4 cup cake flour
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 12–15 strawberries (about 1 cup pureed)
- Powdered sugar (for glaze)
- Milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Puree strawberries and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix butter, sugar, and egg. Add vanilla, buttermilk, and strawberry puree.
- In another bowl, combine both flours, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry mixture to wet mixture. Pipe into greased donut tray.
- Bake for 7-8 minutes. Cool and glaze with a mixture of powdered sugar and milk.
Notes
Choose ripe strawberries for the best flavor. These donuts are lighter than traditional fried varieties.
