Description

A succulent and tender slow-roasted leg of lamb, perfect for any special occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (5 lb) leg of lamb
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 cup red wine

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Combine garlic, rosemary, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the leg of lamb.
  4. Place the lamb in a roasting pan and pour red wine around it.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for about 4 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a more intense flavor, marinate the lamb overnight.
