Description

A delightful recipe for crispy, cheesy sliced baked potatoes that are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Optional: 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Slice each potato thinly (about 1/8 inch apart) while leaving the base intact.
  3. Place the prepared potatoes on your baking sheet. Brush generously with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika evenly over the top.
  4. Bake for 40-50 minutes until the edges are golden and crisp.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle cheese and crumbled bacon (if using) on top. Return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For ultra-crispy edges, consider broiling potatoes for the last 2-3 minutes. Serve on a platter for visual appeal.
