- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 5 large eggs
- Optional: green onions or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the crescent rolls and lay them out on a baking sheet, forming a pizza crust.
- Cook the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled.
- In the same skillet, sprinkle flour over the sausage drippings and whisk for about a minute. Gradually add milk, whisking continuously until thickened. Stir in garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Pour the sausage back into the gravy and mix. Spread the gravy over the crescent roll base and sprinkle with shredded cheddar.
- Beat the eggs and pour evenly over the sausage and cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the egg is set and crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with green onions or parsley, slice, and serve.
