Description

A delightful breakfast pizza topped with rich sausage gravy, gooey cheese, and fresh eggs, perfect for busy mornings.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 5 large eggs
  • Optional: green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent rolls and lay them out on a baking sheet, forming a pizza crust.
  3. Cook the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled.
  4. In the same skillet, sprinkle flour over the sausage drippings and whisk for about a minute. Gradually add milk, whisking continuously until thickened. Stir in garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Pour the sausage back into the gravy and mix. Spread the gravy over the crescent roll base and sprinkle with shredded cheddar.
  6. Beat the eggs and pour evenly over the sausage and cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the egg is set and crust is golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with green onions or parsley, slice, and serve.
