Description

A quick and easy treat combining crunchy crackers, rich buttery caramel, and a dash of dark chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Oyster crackers
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ cup Pecans (chopped)
  • ½ cup Dark chocolate (melted)
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Festive sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar. Stir until boiling, then boil for 2 minutes.
  3. Spread oyster crackers on the baking sheet. Pour hot caramel over crackers, coating evenly.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway.
  5. Cool completely before breaking into clusters.

Notes

Customize with additional toppings like sprinkles or coconut flakes. For a healthier option, use coconut oil instead of butter.
