Description

These Red Velvet Oreo Truffles are a decadent, bite-sized treat combining crushed red velvet Oreos with a creamy cream cheese mixture, all coated in smooth white chocolate and garnished with Oreo crumbs. Perfect for parties, holidays, or anytime you crave something sweet and festive.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Red Velvet Oreos, finely crushed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil or shortening
  • few drops red food coloring (optional, for drizzle)
  • 2 tbsp crushed Oreos for garnish

Instructions

  1. Crush the Red Velvet Oreos into fine crumbs, including the filling, and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the Oreo crumbs to the cream cheese mixture and stir thoroughly until the mixture is fully combined and uniform in texture.
  4. Cover the mixture and place it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, allowing it to firm up for easier handling.
  5. Using a small spoon or cookie scoop, form the chilled mixture into bite-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Refrigerate the shaped balls for at least 1 hour to set and firm up before coating.
  7. In a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, gently melt the white chocolate chips with coconut oil or shortening until smooth. If desired, stir in a few drops of red food coloring for a festive drizzle overlay.
  8. Dip each truffle ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated, then place back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  9. Sprinkle the coated truffles with crushed Oreos while the chocolate is still wet, then allow them to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator until the coating hardens completely.
