- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup sugar (for swirl)
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon (for swirl)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
- In a separate bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, melted butter, 1 cup sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- In a small bowl, mix together the 1/3 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon-sugar layer. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
- Gently swirl the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the batter using a knife or skewer.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a spicier bread, increase the cinnamon and nutmeg.
- You can substitute vegetable oil for melted butter for a slightly different texture.
- Store the cooled bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
