Description

This Pumpkin Flan combines rich, silky texture with warm pumpkin and spices, perfect for any dessert lover.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the sugar until golden caramel forms, then pour it into the flan mold.
  3. Blend the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the caramel in the mold.
  5. Prepare a water bath by placing the flan mold in a larger baking dish filled with hot water halfway up the sides of the mold.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes until set.
  7. Cool and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  8. Run a knife around the edges, invert onto a plate, and serve.

Notes

Ensure to use room temperature eggs and milk for the best texture. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon for a beautiful presentation.
