Description
A classic pear frangipane tart with a buttery crust, almond filling, and tender pears.
Ingredients

			- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp ice water
- 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Mix flour, butter, sugar, egg yolk, and ice water to form dough.
- Roll dough into a tart pan and chill for 30 minutes.
- Blind bake crust for 15 minutes.
- Mix almond flour, sugar, egg, vanilla, and butter for frangipane.
- Spread frangipane over crust.
- Arrange pear slices on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden.
- Cool before serving.
