Description

These Mint Oreo Truffles are a rich, creamy, and irresistible no-bake dessert made with crushed mint Oreos, cream cheese, and coated in smooth chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Mint Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz white or dark chocolate, melted
  • Green food coloring (optional, for white chocolate)
  • Sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  1. Use a food processor or place the Oreos in a sealed bag and crush them into fine crumbs with a rolling pin until evenly crushed, ensuring there are no large pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly until fully combined and the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls approximately 1-inch in diameter. Place each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet to prevent sticking.
  4. Refrigerate the shaped truffles for at least 30 minutes, or alternatively freeze them for 15 minutes to allow them to firm up for easier dipping.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each until smooth. If using white chocolate, add a few drops of green food coloring to achieve a festive color.
  6. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, coating evenly. Use a fork to lift the truffle out and let any excess chocolate drip off back into the bowl.
  7. Before the chocolate sets, quickly add sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or drizzle with additional chocolate for decoration.
  8. Place the coated truffles back in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens completely, about 15-20 minutes.
  9. Once set, serve these delightful truffles as a festive and indulgent treat for any occasion.
