Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups tomatoes, chopped (or canned)
- 1–2 teaspoons dried herbs (basil, oregano)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 4 crusty rolls
- 1/2 cup butter mixed with 2-3 cloves minced garlic (for garlic butter)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook onions and garlic until soft.
- Add ground beef and brown.
- Stir in chopped tomatoes and herbs; simmer until thickened.
- Cook spaghetti separately; toss with sauce.
- Prepare bread bowls; fill with pasta and meat sauce, and top with cheese.
- Bake until bubbly, serve hot.
Notes
Feel free to substitute ground beef with turkey or add seasonal vegetables to customize your dish.
