Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup matcha powder (culinary grade)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, matcha powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, slice into squares and serve.
