- 2 lbs ground beef (85/15)
- 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (for topping)
- 1 1/2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta, then melt butter with milk and cheese. Stir in macaroni and season lightly.
- Mix beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Spread two-thirds of meat mixture on parchment, add mac and cheese down the center, and cover with remaining meat. Seal edges tightly.
- Transfer to a loaf pan or sheet tray and brush with BBQ sauce.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45–55 minutes until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C). Rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
