  • 2 lbs ground beef (85/15)
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (for topping)
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta, then melt butter with milk and cheese. Stir in macaroni and season lightly.
  2. Mix beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Spread two-thirds of meat mixture on parchment, add mac and cheese down the center, and cover with remaining meat. Seal edges tightly.
  4. Transfer to a loaf pan or sheet tray and brush with BBQ sauce.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45–55 minutes until internal temp reaches 160°F (71°C). Rest 5–10 minutes before slicing.
