Description
A satisfying and healthy casserole loaded with beef, cheese, and classic Philly cheesesteak flavors, but without the carbs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup provolone cheese, torn
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup diced bell peppers
- 1 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and bell peppers, cooking for about 5-6 minutes until softened.
- Add minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook for 7-8 minutes until browned, draining excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and cook for 1-2 minutes. Then, reduce heat and add softened cream cheese, stirring until melted.
- Transfer the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish. Layer torn provolone over the beef, then top with shredded mozzarella.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and lightly golden. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
