Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups uncooked sticky rice
  • 810 leaves dried bamboo leaves
  • 1/2 pound pork belly
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 cup raw shelled peanuts
  • 23 pieces Chinese sausages
  • 23 pieces scallions

Instructions

  1. Soak the sticky rice overnight or for at least 6 hours.
  2. Wash the soaked bamboo leaves thoroughly.
  3. Marinate the pork belly in a mixture of soy sauces, salt, Shaoxing wine, sugar, and white pepper.
  4. Soak the peanuts in water for 1 hour, then boil for 10 minutes.
  5. Combine the drained sticky rice with soy sauce and salt.
  6. Fold in peanuts, Chinese sausages, and scallions.
  7. Line a bamboo steamer with soaked bamboo leaves.
  8. Layer the rice mixture with pork belly.
  9. Cover the mixture with remaining bamboo leaves.
  10. Steam the dumplings over high heat for 60-90 minutes.
  11. Keep dumplings warm until ready to serve.
