Description
A refreshing and creamy drink made with fresh strawberries and non-dairy milk, perfect for warm days.
Ingredients

- 1 pound strawberries, finely diced
- 1/4 cup cane brown sugar
- Squeeze of lemon juice
- 2–3 cups unsweetened non-dairy milk
- Ice
- Extra diced strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Macerate 3/4 cup of strawberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar in a bowl and set aside for 5 minutes.
- In a small pan, combine the remaining 2 cups of strawberries, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 10 minutes until syrupy.
- Cool the syrup in the fridge completely.
- In a glass, combine 2-3 tablespoons of the cooled syrup with 3/4 cup of non-dairy milk. Add ice and top with macerated strawberries. Stir to combine.
Notes
Adjust sweetness with sugar based on strawberry ripeness. Use organic strawberries for better flavor.
