Description

A refreshing and creamy drink made with fresh strawberries and non-dairy milk, perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound strawberries, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup cane brown sugar
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • 23 cups unsweetened non-dairy milk
  • Ice
  • Extra diced strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Macerate 3/4 cup of strawberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar in a bowl and set aside for 5 minutes.
  2. In a small pan, combine the remaining 2 cups of strawberries, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 10 minutes until syrupy.
  3. Cool the syrup in the fridge completely.
  4. In a glass, combine 2-3 tablespoons of the cooled syrup with 3/4 cup of non-dairy milk. Add ice and top with macerated strawberries. Stir to combine.

Notes

Adjust sweetness with sugar based on strawberry ripeness. Use organic strawberries for better flavor.
