- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 cups cold water
- Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Juice those lemons: Roll lemons on the countertop and cut them in half to squeeze over a measuring cup. Aim for about one cup of lemon juice.
- Mix sugar and lemon juice: In a jug, combine lemon juice and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add water: Gradually mix in cold water. Stir and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Chill out: Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice.
- Serve and enjoy: Pour lemonade into glasses and enjoy!
Notes
For extra zing, add a teaspoon of lemon zest. Substitute sugar with honey, agave, or any sweetener you prefer. Freeze lemonade in ice cube trays for an extra chill.
