Description

An irresistible pizza recipe featuring a crispy crust topped with savory sausage, creamy feta, and a drizzle of honey.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose or bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 pound hot sausage (Italian chorizo or spicy chicken)
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup honey or hot honey
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella (optional)
  • Fresh basil or arugula for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast; let froth.
  2. Add flour, salt, and oil, mix to form dough, and knead.
  3. Cook the sausage in a skillet until browned, then drain.
  4. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  5. Roll out the dough and put on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, sprinkle garlic and oregano.
  6. Assemble the pizza with mozzarella, feta, sausage, and any additional spices.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  8. Drizzle honey on top once out of the oven and add fresh basil.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The dough can be frozen for up to three months.
