Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose or bread flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 pound hot sausage (Italian chorizo or spicy chicken)
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup honey or hot honey
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella (optional)
- Fresh basil or arugula for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the dough by mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast; let froth.
- Add flour, salt, and oil, mix to form dough, and knead.
- Cook the sausage in a skillet until browned, then drain.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the dough and put on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, sprinkle garlic and oregano.
- Assemble the pizza with mozzarella, feta, sausage, and any additional spices.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes.
- Drizzle honey on top once out of the oven and add fresh basil.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The dough can be frozen for up to three months.
