Description

Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a bowl.
- Add warm water and olive oil, then knead to form a dough.
- Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
- Spread tomato sauce evenly on the dough.
- Top with mozzarella and basil leaves.
- Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
For a crispier crust, bake on a pizza stone.
