Description

A quick and easy recipe for creamy homemade vanilla ice cream, perfect for hot summer days or as a decadent dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Measure and prepare all ingredients.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and sea salt until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually 20-30 minutes until soft-serve consistency.
  5. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2-4 hours to harden.
  6. Scoop and enjoy on its own or topped with chocolate sauce or fresh berries.

Notes

Add mix-ins like chocolate chips or fruit during the last 5 minutes of churning for variety. Use quality ingredients for the best flavor.
