Description

These Halloween Deviled Eggs are a fun, festive, and spooky appetizer perfect for any Halloween party. They feature a creamy yolk filling and creative decorations like eyeballs, pumpkins, and spiders.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 hard boiled eggs, peeled and halved, whites and yolks separated
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • Purple food coloring + sliced pimento-stuffed green olives
  • Orange food coloring + curly parsley
  • Green food coloring + black sesame seeds
  • Pitted whole black olives

Instructions

  1. Place yolks in a bowl and mash until smooth.
  2. Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, and salt until creamy.
  3. Divide the yolk mixture into 4 bowls.
  4. For Eyeball Deviled Eggs: Mix purple food coloring into one bowl. Fill whites, then top with sliced pimento-stuffed green olives to mimic eyeballs.
  5. For Pumpkin Deviled Eggs: Tint another bowl orange. Pipe filling into whites. Drag a toothpick across to create pumpkin ridges. Garnish with parsley for stems.
  6. For Spooky Green Deviled Eggs: Add green coloring into the third bowl. Fill whites, then sprinkle with black sesame seeds for extra eerie vibes.
  7. For Spider Deviled Eggs: Leave one bowl plain. Fill whites, then cut black olives into bodies and legs. Place spiders on top for a creepy finish.
  8. Chill eggs for 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use older eggs for easier peeling.
  • Add food coloring gradually to control intensity.
  • Pipe yolk filling with a pastry bag for clean designs.
  • Not freezer-friendly.
  • Best served chilled.
