Description

Golden Crust Cheesy Beef is a comforting and versatile dish featuring savory ground beef and melted cheese encased in a flaky, buttery crust. It’s an easy-to-make meal perfect for weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted.
  6. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  7. Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the cheesy beef mixture onto the wider end of each crescent roll triangle.
  8. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  9. Place the stuffed crescent rolls onto the prepared baking sheet.
  10. Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg wash.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  12. Serve your Golden Crust Cheesy Beef warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
  • For a vegetarian option, use cooked lentils or beans instead of ground beef.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or peas to the beef mixture.
  • Experiment with different cheese combinations for varied flavors.
  • This Golden Crust Cheesy Beef bake is delicious served with a side salad or your favorite vegetables.
