Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil plus more for greasing
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs or chopped rosemary (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour and salt, and mix until combined. Knead until smooth.
  3. Coat the dough with olive oil, cover, and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  4. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare the baking pan.
  5. Shape and dimple the dough, brush with garlic oil and sprinkle toppings.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden. Cool and serve warm.
