- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil plus more for greasing
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs or chopped rosemary (optional)
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt, and mix until combined. Knead until smooth.
- Coat the dough with olive oil, cover, and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare the baking pan.
- Shape and dimple the dough, brush with garlic oil and sprinkle toppings.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden. Cool and serve warm.
