- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Finely chopped red onion
- Shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- Chopped fresh cilantro
- Lime, cut into wedges
- Sour cream or Greek yogurt
Instructions
- Season chicken and rub spices.
- Cook chicken in olive oil, allow to rest and slice.
- Prepare sauce with butter, garlic, honey, BBQ, soy sauce, vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes.
- Toss chicken in sauce, simmer briefly.
- Warm tortillas, assemble tacos with toppings.
