Quick and easy Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Chicken Tacos that are packed with flavor and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Finely chopped red onion
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • Chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime, cut into wedges
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Season chicken and rub spices.
  2. Cook chicken in olive oil, allow to rest and slice.
  3. Prepare sauce with butter, garlic, honey, BBQ, soy sauce, vinegar, and optional red pepper flakes.
  4. Toss chicken in sauce, simmer briefly.
  5. Warm tortillas, assemble tacos with toppings.
