- 1 loaf of French bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Carefully slice the French bread in half lengthwise.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly onto both halves of the bread.
- If using, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
- Place the buttered bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For a stronger garlic flavor, let the garlic butter mixture sit for a few minutes to meld the flavors. You can also customize with additional herbs or cheeses.
