Description

Deliciously tender blueberry biscuits that are easy to make and perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 5 tablespoons butter, cold or frozen
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in cold milk until just combined.
  5. Fold in blueberries gently.
  6. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface, knead gently, and cut into biscuits.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a twist, add lemon zest or substitute blueberries with seasonal fruits.
