- 1 cup cold milk
- 5 tablespoons butter, cold or frozen
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cold milk until just combined.
- Fold in blueberries gently.
- Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface, knead gently, and cut into biscuits.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For a twist, add lemon zest or substitute blueberries with seasonal fruits.
