- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook noodles, drain and set aside.
- Cook beef, onion, and garlic in skillet until browned; drain fat.
- Stir in marinara and season; simmer.
- Mix ricotta and basil.
- Layer ingredients in baking dish.
- Cover with foil, bake for 25 minutes; uncover, add cheese and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh mozzarella and let the dish rest before slicing.
