- 1 cup of softened butter (unsalted)
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- ½ tsp of salt
- 2 cups of chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- On a lined baking sheet, drop spoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chilling the dough for about 30 minutes will make for thicker cookies. You can also add nuts or dried fruit for extra flavor.
