- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup finely chopped dill pickles
- 2 tablespoons pickle juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, and fresh dill if using. Stir until well blended.
- Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands.
- On a flat surface, pour your chopped nuts. Roll the cheese ball into the nut mixture until coated.
- Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Serve alongside crackers, veggies, or as a sandwich spread.
Notes
Can substitute cream cheese with Greek yogurt or cottage cheese for a lighter version. For a spicy kick, add chopped jalapeños or cayenne pepper. If short on time, chill in the freezer for 25-30 minutes.
