- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

- 2 tablespoons olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by washing and trimming the green beans. Slice the kielbasa into rounds and chop the onion.
- (Optional): In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- In the crockpot, layer the sliced kielbasa, sautéed onion and garlic (if used), and trimmed green beans.
- Pour in the chicken broth and sprinkle the Italian seasoning and black pepper over the top. Adjust salt to your preference.
- Using a spoon, gently stir the ingredients to combine them without breaking the green beans.
- Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 4 to 6 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours.
- Once cooked, give the dish a final gentle stir before serving. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
